Curse A Nerd provides graphic design services for your website and any prepress print needs you may have. A logo is a simple yet very powerful visual element on websites, signage, and printed material. Your company's logo should quickly and easily convey a message to your customers. Curse A Nerd can design your company a logo that perfectly matches your business goals. We can also update a logo you may not be completely satisfied with but you still like the original concept. Our website services include full graphics services for each web page with the exception of a new or remodeled company logo - that service is quoted separately from the website design.
We can create for you high resolution images and overall layouts for advertisement, email campaigns, mailer campaigns, and even floor and overhead banners for trade show booths. We will provide you the necessary graphic files any prepress organization may need to complete your project. Since each graphic request can be very different in project scope and individual design, we will be happy to provide you a competitive detailed quote for the work.

Photographs are also a very important part of website design. A design that contains too many photographs can become a burden to your internet customers. Our design approach is simple: To ensure your website can be navigated quickly and easily, we offer photographs that impact the design and portray a thousand words. We can use images you provide us to give your site a very personal touch. We can also use images we have and give them a custom feel specific to the design layout of your site. We can digitally restore old photographic prints as well as make combine prints for humorous results. Now that your photographs are restored and edited to your satisfaction, Curse A Nerd can take your photographs and create a DVD slideshow with a musical background. There are literally thousands of pieces of malicious software ready to be downloaded to your PCs while surfing the internet unless you are extremely well protected. Internet browser settings and anti-virus software are simply not enough to keep your PC running at peak performance. In addition to significant performance degradation malicious software can compromise password, bank information, credit card information, and other types of personally identifiable information stored on your computer(s). How We Do It
Curse A Nerd can connect to your computer over the internet and return your PC to the level of performance you expect. Our specialized software will establish secure connections between your PC and our technicians in approximately 20 seconds with no invasive software permanently installed on your computer. You simply connect to the internet to a predetermined website, enter a unique session code we provide you, accept the connection, and we are connected to your PC. The process is firewall-friendly and does not require changing settings within firewall software or hardware. Your PC user account passwords remain confidential as your private information is not needed to establish a RemoteMedic support session. If your PC requires a Windows authentication using account name and password, you can type that information in without divulging the password to our technician. The connection is totally secure because we use strong internet encryption. During the session we have dual control over your PC, meaning our technician and you can control the behavior of the computer one person at a time. Once the session is complete our connection is permanently broken and no hidden software is left on your PC.

PC Repair/Upgrade
Upgrade Software and Hardware
Upgrading software is usually a quick process. At times however, Curse A Nerd understands that it can be a burden if it is a complicated upgrade or you simply do not have the time. Upgrading hardware can be a daunting task if you are not comfortable getting inside your computer with screwdrivers. Curse A Nerd can upgrade software and hardware on your computer to relieve you of the burden. We will fully test all software and hardware upgraded to ensure everything is in proper working order.
Install Software and Hardware
Do you have new software you are unsure how to install properly? Curse A Nerd can install the software for you. You can be as "hands-off" as you prefer. We'll take care of the installation completely or you can learn how to install it as we perform the task. Installing new hardware can be a burden at times. Even with "plug and play" devices, sometimes the device must be wrestled onto a PC. Frustrating? Yes. Common? Yes. Curse A Nerd can do the wrestling for you.
Troubleshooting Services
Do you have a computer problem and are not sure where to start? Curse A Nerd can troubleshoot a PC quickly and provide a solution for you. We can fix the computer for you or simply provide consultation services to give you advice. It is your choice. Curse A Nerd can troubleshoot PCs, printers, routers, hubs, modems, etc. We are here to help.
All services are billed at an hourly rate. There is a $25 diagnosis fee for troubleshooting a device. Should you decide to use our services to repair/upgrade the device, the $25 diagnosis fee is deducted from the first service hour.
Website Design
Whether you are looking to revamp your existing website or you want a brand new site, you have come to the right place. Curse A Nerd is a full-service website design and hosting service. We can take your concept all the way to a first class website that renders properly in all the popular web browsers. We do not design our sites to view properly on one internet browser like many inexpensive site designers do. Curse A Nerd rigorously tests the site throughout development using multiple browsers running on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
From the moment you contact us and begin design discussions you will see that not all design services are equal. Your target customers may very well help determine the different technology used in the design of your site. We can help guide you through the entire design process. Website Hosting
Hosting Service Matters
A website is only useful to your visitors if it is online and functioning properly. There are many website hosting services available ranging from "unbelievably cheap" to "horribly expensive". What's the difference besides price? It all boils down to the hardware and networking services used by the provider. High quality servers and redundant networks are critical pieces of a quality hosting service. You should see website up-time well above 95% over a period of 30 days. Ideally you should see 99% up-time. Anything less means there are problems somewhere in the provider's service architecture.
Curse A Nerd uses a provider here in the United States that has a redundant network and server farm in Australia. This means higher up-time for your site. We range between 98% and 99% up-time for any given 30 day period. If your hosting plan include email service you fully expect your email to be delivered to you timely without waiting for system repairs. Curse A Nerd delivers this service.
Hosting plans vary based on the amount of disk space you will use and the amount of bandwidth (network service) used. A lot of web pages and images usually means a higher amount of disk space is needed. If you have (or anticipate to have) a high hit volume website the higher your bandwidth needs will be. Our plans start at $15 per month (one year minimum commitment). If you would like a hosting quote, please contact us and we will prepare a detailed quote for you based on your specific needs.
